ETA-IL (Electronic Travel Authorization to Israel)

As of January 1, 2025, all travelers from visa-exempt countries must obtain an ETA-IL (Electronic Travel Authorization) before boarding their flight to Israel.

Here’s what you need to know:

  • The ETA-IL allows you to stay in Israel for up to 90 days per visit.
  • The authorization is typically valid for 2 years, or until your passport expires — whichever comes first.
  • The cost is 25 Israeli New Shekels (ILS).
  • You should apply at least 72 hours before travel to allow processing time.
  • Your passport must be valid for at least three months beyond the date of arrival.
  • Approval of an ETA-IL does not guarantee entry — final admission is subject to border control inspection.
  • Citizens of Israel or holders of an Israeli identity number are exempt from applying.
