ETA-IL
ETA-IL (Electronic Travel Authorization to Israel)
As of January 1, 2025, all travelers from visa-exempt countries must obtain an ETA-IL (Electronic Travel Authorization) before boarding their flight to Israel.
Here’s what you need to know:
- The ETA-IL allows you to stay in Israel for up to 90 days per visit.
- The authorization is typically valid for 2 years, or until your passport expires — whichever comes first.
- The cost is 25 Israeli New Shekels (ILS).
- You should apply at least 72 hours before travel to allow processing time.
- Your passport must be valid for at least three months beyond the date of arrival.
- Approval of an ETA-IL does not guarantee entry — final admission is subject to border control inspection.
- Citizens of Israel or holders of an Israeli identity number are exempt from applying.
